Cotton Duck & Twill for Footwear — Manufacturer & Exporter

Canvas footwear needs an even, stable upper cloth that laminates cleanly, resists scuff, and holds a printed or dyed colour. Plain duck for sneakers and deck shoes, drill and twill for casual and work boots.

What we recommend

Cotton Duck230–340 g/m² (7–10 oz) · 44–60 in

The classic canvas-sneaker upper — even 7–10 oz plain duck, dyes and prints cleanly, takes a backing.

Finish: Piece-dyed or RFD; backing lamination via converters

Cotton Drill260–320 g/m² · 58 in

For casual boots and work shoes where a twill face and a slight stretch are wanted.

Finish: Piece-dyed, water-repellent

Common questions

What canvas weight for a sneaker upper?

7 to 10 oz (about 230–340 g/m²) plain duck is standard. Structured high-tops go heavier; slip-ons and espadrilles can go lighter.

Can you supply the upper cloth pre-laminated?

Lamination and backing run through converter partners. We supply the face cloth in greige or dyed.
