Cotton Duck for Artist Canvas — Manufacturer & Exporter

Artist canvas is graded on weight and weave regularity: a smooth, even, medium-to-heavy plain cotton that primes flat and stretches without distortion. Numbered and plain duck in RFD, for makers who prime and cut to stretcher sizes or roll for inkjet.

Common questions

What weight cotton duck for stretched artist canvas?

7 to 12 oz (about 230–390 g/m²) covers most stretched and roll canvas. Portrait-grade fine canvas runs lighter and finer; heavy scenic and floor canvas runs heavier.

Do you prime the canvas?

We supply it RFD. Acrylic gesso and universal priming run through partner units, or the maker primes in their own line.
