Scenic and backdrop work needs cloth in one very wide, seamless piece, with a surface that takes scenic paint or a large-format print evenly. This is a classic use for a 140-inch loom — a drop that would otherwise be seamed or netted together comes off in a single width.
What we recommend
Wide, smooth, absorbent plain cotton — the standard painted-backdrop and print-base cloth.
Finish: RFD / prepared for paint and print
Heavier scenic cloth for floor cloths, ground rows and hard-wearing painted flats.

Common questions
How wide a backdrop can you supply without a seam?
Up to 140 inches (about 3.56 m) in a single woven width. Taller or wider drops are joined, but from far fewer pieces.
Is the cloth prepared for scenic paint?
Supplied RFD (scoured and bleached, absorbent). Priming and sizing for paint run through partner units on request.
