Cotton Fabric for Upholstery & Furniture — Manufacturer
Upholstery uses cotton two ways: as the visible cover cloth, and as the base and platform cloth under it. Cover cloth wants a rub count and a finished face; base cloth wants strength and width. We supply both, and can weave the cover wide enough to avoid a rail-to-rail seam.
What we recommend
Cover-weight plain canvas — durable, takes a dyed shade and a stain finish, seamless across a wide seat.
Finish: Piece-dyed, stain-repellent via partners
For a linen look on scatter cushions, headboards and light upholstery without pure-linen cost.
Finish: Piece-dyed, soft finish
Platform, lining and mattress-backing cloth — wide, cheap, strong enough for the job it does.
Finish: Greige or RFD

Common questions
Can you weave upholstery cotton wide enough to avoid a seam?
Yes, up to 140 inches. A wide seat or a bench back can be covered in one width with no centre seam.
Do you provide a rub-count / Martindale figure?
Abrasion testing is arranged through accredited labs at RFQ; we do not publish a generic figure because it depends on the exact construction and finish.
