2/1 and 3/1 cotton and poly-cotton twill, manufactured against your construction, GSM and width — for trousers, chinos, apparel and uniform detailing.

Twill's diagonal line comes from a progressive, offset interlacement between warp and weft. In a warp-faced 2/1 twill — the common construction for cotton twill and workwear — each warp yarn passes over two weft yarns and under one; in a 3/1 twill, over three and under one, shifting by one pick each row to create the diagonal. The longer float in a 3/1 construction generally produces a more pronounced diagonal and a denser, more durable cloth suited to heavier workwear and trouser programmes, while 2/1 twill drapes a little softer and suits lighter apparel. (Other twill arrangements can reverse which yarn dominates the face.)
Both differ from plain weave in offering better drape, wrinkle resistance and a smoother face for printing or finishing. Our reference twill articles below cover both the 100% cotton and 65/35 polyester-cotton workwear route.
